I believe this is the same boat I visited 2 years ago. It is indeed, AFAIK, all original, although my knowledge of Seacraft design has improved immensely with the addition of the '73 CC and my '71 Seafari to our "family", and the excellent advice I've received from Denny (bushwacker).
I'd be happy to investigate this boat further if anyone is seriously interested. When I saw it, I spoke at length with the original owner, who told me about his perfect days...commuting daily to work, on his boat down the Chesapeake, stopping on the way home to fish under the Bay Bridge for dinner. I'm sure he has many more wonderful stories about his boat. Photos would be nice. I will refrain from further comment about the condition of the boat until I see it again, or see some detailed photos. I think this could be a perfect boat for the right person. Let me know if I can be of assistance, sort of a "pay back" for the many hours of attention and advice I've received from Denny and this forum. Ed in Arlington, VA

I wish someone would give me a reason to go look again at this boat. Just a little encouragement is all I need.
Also...what to look for. Denny provided me with his own check list of 473 potential trouble areas, and how to spot them, but surely someone has a more extensive list? Anyone?

It must be the same boat that was on eBay last week....
The listing ended 6/04 with a high bid of $510.00, total of 12 bids The reserve was not met. Not sure if he paid the $25 to CSC for his listin here ?

ct9amr: Thanks for posting the link to the other thread. Yes, this is the boat I saw a few years ago. I remember it was very solid, and very tired. All the brightwork is functional, but pitted, etc. The transom sounded solid, with no plugged holes from previous hardware being removed. IIRC, only a speedometer.
I'd still like to see it again, and see what a little buffing could bring out. I know it's tough for the owner and his family to part with this, but realistically, I don't believe he'll be able to get what he's expecting out of it...whatever that might be. I've seen no price attached to it. I sure hope it goes to an enthusiast, though, and not to someone who'll "restore" it into a CC!
