How's the ride with the helm station far front ?
Sceptre - with the helm station further front than most rigs, is the ride from that section more harsh ?

I've never ridden in a 23 cc,but the ride in my 23 Tsunami is great at the helm, and even better amidships.
We use a folding canvas deck chair for a third seat placed on the port side about mid deck, and even in the nasty steep close together crap it's a comfortable ride.Everyone likes that seat. I always have the complete canvas and side curtains up,so we stay dry.In the rough though, we'd get a little wet if we took the side curtains down. The ride is still great though. If it's a continuous bumpy ride in real snotty conditions the helm seat can be a little harsh, but not the end of the world. It's rare when I have to stand up to cushion the ride.I have a tendency to be a bit of a cowboy which tends to drive my crew a little nuts at times. Must be from my childhood hot rod days, there's a little part of me that likes trying to beat other boats into the pierheads when we're running in.(I still haven't grown up.) One thing I found though, after having owned a few other boats in this size, and even bigger, the 23 Tsunami/Sceptre blows them away in the ride, even at the helm, when the water conditions go south.

maybe, but the windshield makes up for it, although I never noticed a more harsh ride in mine.

I've been in both Sceptre and CC...the ride at the helm in a Sceptre is slightly more "harsh" due to your position in the boat versus amidships and aft in a CC. With that said, a Sceptre is still an impressive ride and you would not be disappointed. You've been asking many questions for quite some time about the Sceptre...just pull the trigger! You won't regret it.

You might be a bit mislead by how the windshield in the Septre makes the helm look farther forward than it is. When I was looking to replace my cuddy cabin Seabird, I carefully measured out the position of the helm in both hulls and was astonished to find that it was in exactly the same place relative to fore and aft. The Seabird looked like the helm was at least 2 ft farther aft.
