Hi all,
The boat is available...again.
Would prefer to sell it before the winter.
All decent offers will be seriously considered.
She is a gem and would not disappoint anyone.

Default Advice please

Hello all,

I've had my boat posted for a while and I'm wondering why I have no questions or comments about the boat.
Any feedback from veterans of this site that would help me sell her would be greatly appreciated.
I really don't want to put off winterizing it much longer.
Thanks,

John H.

That's a fair question. Looks like a real nice rig with pretty new power. I'd only suggest bigger pictures to really show the details. By all accounts the CSY hulls were extremely well built. Rebuilt powerhead may concern some. And price. Even when the value is there, it's tough to drop 20 large right before the holidays on something you may not have time to use til next year.

Also this time of year most boaters (excepting FL) are putting putting away their shorts and digging up their winter clothes.

I think other than folks looking for projects the fall is a tough time to sell a skiff. Probably have better luck in March or April when folks got the itch to get on the water again...

Good luck with the sale.

Why the rebuilt powerhead and who did it? I was under the impression Jasper engines were the only company doing rebuilds for four strokes and selling them commercially and they are only up to the 150 HP powerheads and only from Yamaha. If there is another rebuilder I would love to know. But ad says new so I am assuming it is from Suzuki.

Was it under warranty?

Nice boat BTW

Mick

Hi Mick, the engine was still under warrenty so the new power head was replaced by Suzuki and done at the place where I bought the engine in Newport. RI. A head Gasket had blown.

John - It'll sell . . . I remember seeing that boat at Jason's when you bought it way way back. That is a super clean hull. Some bigger pics would help in all the adds. I don't think I saw it on boattrader or yatchworld, but the more exposure the better. You have it priced right . . . it just takes time.

Default Opinions wanted

Looking for thoughts on why my boat isn't selling. Its been for sale since last summer. It seems to be in the right price range. She is in great shape with an engine with only 80hrs. The engine alone is work 15k. Is the market for used boats that depressed? Any suggestions would be great. I hate seeing her sit on the trailer.
Thanks
John
