IMHO, Yamaha makes the best controls out there. And they will work with that engine.

Thank you! Hopefully you got a SeaCraft because of the ride! But they certainly have great classic lines.
You might have to change the cables, (go with the best) but I like the Yamaha 704 Premium control, you would still have the T/T switch in the handle which you could wire up to the Merc wires.

Deff went with SeaCraft because of the lines and the way it rides is a huge bonus, the look of urs gave me the inspiration I needed to pick up a boat of this age.......

So if I go with the Yam controls I just need to get the corresponding cable and splice in the T/T to the exsisting wiring correct ?

I really want to know if this one works though. I think it looks so clean

I looked up the Gen II shift cable he listed and found a pic of the cable ends. The end that connects to the engine looks like the right one for your '95 motor, but the end that connects to the remote control is different. I suspect you'll have to replace your shift and throttle cables to make it work.

That`s a good motah, but it has a gremlin. The oil pump gear is composite and they fail. Replace asap.

Decarb it and run good oil.
Avoid e10 at all costs,

You would have to get 33C type cables and the Merc. adapter kit for the Yamaha control which is by far the best on the market.
