Default Gulf Oil Spill - Effect on Fishing?

Anyone else in the Gulf Coast area concerned about the possible effects from the oil spill on boating & fishing? Was planning on going out this weekend but that may not happen now...
Not sure if the news media is blowing it all out of proportion or not. I haven't heard anything from the local news about how it will effect us if/when it does make it to the Mobile Bay area; will boating and fishing be prohibited?

If it stays on the beaches and out of the marsh I don't see any significant issues. Fish here are so full of mercury anyway, what is another health advisory going to do. They still don't recommend eating fish more than twice a month.

Everyone on the entire gulf coast should be worried. If they don't get that flow stopped with the blow out valve, that things going to continue leaking over 200,000 gallons per day until a relief well is drilled . Media isn't blowing it out of proportion.

Theres gonna be more than a health advisory. There is no way they're going to keep that much oil contained. They should have been burning it from day one.

Just bought my Seacraft end of last year was really looking forward to fishing this summer, looks like those plans are going down the tube pretty quick....

I guess I will just leave the boat in the yard... maybe it would be a good year sand and paint the haul.

If this oil from a producing well gets into the interior marshes of Louisiana and Mississippi there will be hell to pay for all fishermen, crabbers, oystermen and the enviroment. Why couldn't this happen during the winter and I would hate to be the person who designed and sold the BOP.
