Anyone live in/fish out of Islamorada?
Taking my 23' SeaCraft down 12-17 June to do some off shore fishing. I am mostly interested in Tuna and Dolphin. I have never fished there before. Anyone have the numbers for Islamorada hump? Any suggestions on other areas/spreads or bait. Thanks

Re: Anyone live in/fish out of Islamorada?
I am a part time resident of islamorada. I dont have my numbers book with me but you can ask any tackle store employee for the numbers. Ask for the islamorada hump which is about 15 miles offshore and the 409 hump which is about 23 miles from islamorada. Both humps will hold plenty of football sized blackfin tuna. I like to troll small feathers for them. Dolphin have already showed down there in numbers so they shouldnt be too hard to find. Just point your boat offfshore and look for the flock of feeding birds and you will find dolphin. Be sure to bring plenty of fresh hoos.

Re: Anyone live in/fish out of Islamorada?
I will be there with my 23’ on June 3rd to the 10th. Will be fishing probably both those spots and a lot more. Any good tackle shop will have maps that will give you several GPS # to go by. Usually the Dolphin will be approx 15 miles out from the end of the reef. Lots of yellowtail snapper on the edge of the reef + other types of good bottom fishing. You will see gulls moving and dipping down into the water that’s where your dolphin and black fins will be.
ha that's enough to wet your appitite. FellowShip _______________________________________________ My motto: Just for the Grins |

Here is a good link for the State of Florida, for most of the artifical reefs around the state. Water Proof makes a
good chart for the Keys. They have several. Upper, Middle, and lower. They also have numbers for diving and fishing. Select Monroe County, and Go fishin' See ya, Ken http://marinefisheries.org/ar/reef_locator.asp http://www.waterproofcharts.com/florida.html
