Replace wood bulkheads and side coaming panels
Hey guys,
I need to replace the plywood bulkheads and side coaming panels on my boat since they're very deteriorated by the sun and coming apart. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what material(s) I can replace them with that will be long lasting, look good, and hopefully not to expensive. Thanks!

I'm not sure what you're asking about. A few pics might get the creative juices flowing.

Re: Replace wood bulkheads and side coaming panels
I redid my bolsters two years ago using PVC board for the backing and a good grade of vynl, they did not do as quoted by putting drains in them, but they did use a cloce cell foam. Looks good and fells good for about $750. 76 CC Inboard.

Re: Replace wood bulkheads and side coaming panels
My bolsters are pine coated with two coats of epoxy. The vinyl covers 99% of the wood on the backside just the bolts are sticking thru.

Hey-Craig, trying to stay home and yes I have them 360 around the boat. Do you have your boat on the hill yet?

Re: Replace wood bulkheads and side coaming panels
Good idea, here's what the cockpit looks like:
As you can see the front bulkhead and the sides are made of plywood and varnished. The sun has really cooked off the varnish and the plywood is slowly delaminating. I would like ideas on a different material to use for this, thanks!
