Default Newport Lodging - New England Get together

I wanted to put this up in case anyone was interested. A guy I know that runs a Limo service - big Suburban http://www.msmexec.com and has a package for a Bed & Breakfast in Newport, near the Jazz Festival and it is near Thames / Wellington Streets (shops, touristy, waterfront, PHENOMINAL SURFCASTING on Ocean Drive ). http://fairstreetguesthouse.com/home.htm I asked him what his packages are and for Aug 8th & 9th during the Jazz Festival he has 2 rooms left out of the 11. Round trip pickup from TF Green airport, 2 nights at the B&B is $550. That's not bad at all for Newport at that time...

If anyone is interested let me know soon and I can have him get in contact with you. Just someone I know that recently started his own buissness and one of his spiels is the Newport B&B...

John R,

Thanks, it's probably time to start thinking about reserving a room. I checked out a couple of places. The Best Western at 151 ADMIRAL KALBFUS RD has rooms for $179. You'll all be interested to know that the Holiday Inn Express on Rt. 114 has 60 rooms at $279. You'd BETTER learn something while you sleep for that price!

Unless the BW is a DIVE, I'll probably go with that (8/8 & 8/9) for lack of a desire to look too hard.

I encourage anyone thinking about attending to block out the time, confirm boat storage with Jason and make reservations for a room. It would be nice if we a bunch of us were at the same place so we only need one DD from where ever we end up at 2:00 AM Friday and Saturday nights.

If anyone has any suggestions on a hotel senario, please post it here.

A Holiday Inn Express for nearly $300? Can I recommend a few jazz cd's and a nice hotel in St. Barts to anyone contemplating an alternative?

For only Fifty dollars a night you can stay in San Jose Costa Rica and wake up next to a 23 year old! (Legally)

I've been forbidden to ever go to Costa Rica by my wife
