Default Lets Get This Party Started!!!

Hehehe-

I want to invite you to my home in Rhode Island this August. Timewise I am thinking about the dates of the Newport Jazz Festival or the Folk festival. I can offer storage for 10+ Trailers at my home along with boats, if you need to drop your boat off during the week.

Ideally I would like this to be family oriented so every one can have a good time including those of us with better halves who prefer the shore to the boat, My home is with in walking distance to 1st and 2nd beaches or downtown Newport is 2miles down the road.

I am thinking about fishing in the AM till 12-1 and then we could pick up our shore crew and anchor/raft infront of Fort Adams to listen to the music.

This is very preliminary any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

FanTASTIC idea! In August we might even luck out with some Mahi Mahi off Newport (it happens on occasion), all the little tunny, and a couple of us will head over to Cuttyhunk for some basses ...

Great idead Trayder. Can I leave my trailer at your house too

I also think it is a great idea. Keep me posted as to what day in August you decide on. I would be happy to bring my boat down or jump on with someone else if there are too many boats.

Trayder, will this event be the official unveiling of the restored 20? This is a great idea, I'm definitely interested. My sister-in-law lives in Narragansett, so if trailer space became an issue at your place I could always splash down over there and meet up with everyone off Newport.

Scott, it may not be the official unveiling but it sure gives me motivation to get my arse in gear!!! I am sure I will have plenty of storage for trailers and boats and as an added bonus the ramp is 1/4 of a mile down the road. This is a good high tide ramp for bunks or an all around ramp for roller trailers. There are also 2 other ramps within 5 miles.

Hello Billybob-

I hope you can make it!! Maybe we can set it up in line with your summer trip to RI? We will work something out.

Yes, I am selling the other boat but due to the economy I do not see it going anywhere anytime soon so I will probably have her this summer.

Jason-

Your other boat is a 25 Contender right? If you want, send me an email with specs, pics and asking price and I will spread the word for you on the North Shore of Boston. If anyone is interested, they can contact you directly.

Tons of guys up this way, are looking for newer, slightly used fishing boats.

BB - No, John is not buying either (although when Trayder was in FL he decided to live there and left me his 20 project )...

And nothing definite at all or remotely close yet but I hope to be doing something soon...

Well Guys - I hear you both. This economy has hit us real hard, and it's been this way for us for over 2 solid years now.Our end users are telecom,pc's, hi end electronics, etc. and it is downright depressing.
Jason - I'm hoping to vaca in Rhody again this year, but I'm not sure if the house is available. So if anyone knows of anything around Charlestown area for a summer week, let me know.
Even if you don't sell the Contender, you're gonna want to play with that 20 after all the work. It's looking great!.
