Default Interesting website, check it out

Hi Guys-

A guy at my marina owns a beautiful 23 Regulator. It is his life's passion and he is a heck of a nice guy. He runs this boat to the canyons from Yarmouth, MA! Check out his home made website below, see the marlin that almost impaled him!

Monomoy is loaded with blues, no bass today ;(

Thanks for the link. That guy's more anal than me. But I'm not done yet, either

I don't think he is anal....nuts is more like it. Hydrographer's Canyon is 100 miles offshore. I agree with what Roy Scheider said in JAWS..."I think we'll need a bigger boat."

Great shot of the blue one!!!! Something about those billfish !!!The Norfolk Canyon that we fish here is 65 nm east of Cape Henry with overboard being around 75 nm.We fish the Canyons regularly here. We dont normally quite do 100 miles but dont think he is that nutty! Fuel wise,I burn around 115 gallons running to the Canyon and thats carrying an extra 15/20 gallons.(pushing it) I wonder how much fuel he uses with the outboard.!LOLOL Nice website

I don't think he's nuts, what I do think is he's got a lot of bucks tied up in that rig and an Epirb and a small liferaft would seem like relatively inexpensive peace of mind.I also skimmed through a trip report, and he mentions rafting up at night with a friend, so that helps a lot.It probably doesn't take him all that long to get out there, so with his speed and that Regulator hull, he's probably in better shape than a lot of 30+ footers.Nice rig, but all in all not as impressive as bringing a 30 year old back to life like some of you guys here have done.

Hooper,
I read about this guy earlier in the season on Ty's offshore board. I saw his web site and wondered where on the Cape he was from. Personally I think he's nuts to run to Atlantis or Hydrographers in that boat, even if he has a larger boat with him. As everyone knows, on a boat things can go wrong awfully fast, and 23' is just too small for being out that far. Really nice boat though.

I have been off shore fishing for 30 yrs, have owned 2 seacrafts (the best ride ever)BUT! I don't care what the salesman tells you at the boat show, YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS IN THE CANYONS IN ANYTHING LESS than a quality built 35 footer period.
