Default '78 Sc epter

Found a 78 20ft. Scepter today.I gave the boat a pretty good inspection, transom is new-pro job,gel coat matches nicely, deck is good,no soft areas, tapped all over it with a screw driver handle, helm seat was moved forward a few inches, might be some delamination were seat used to be,small area. Topsides and hull very good. New cushions on v-berths. Trim tabs, I-com vhf, porta-potti. 79 150 Johnson(be nice candidate for a 140 Suzi). Loadrite galvanized tandem trailer in fair condition.Don't know about the gas tank or wiring. $7,500.Opinions?

Too much money for a boat with original power. You're essentially buying a boat and trailer in this case. IMO it's worth $4K max.

I'm not interested in buying the boat,I have a 23'C.C. A freind of mine is looking for one,but wants a center console. It's too bad the motor wasn't newer, because the boat is in really nice condition. The transom was done with 2 layers of 3/4" marine ply and epoxy. The outer skin was reinstalled. The motor is a 25" shaft. The boat is in Stonington,Ct.
