Seacraft for sale
I'm new, and have been reading the postings about people looking for boats. Some of the prices seemed high to me. However, in today's paper in St. Augustine Fl is the following ad:
22" Seacraft rebuilt 327 & outdrive, Elec, trailer,VERY SEAWORTHY, $5500 (904) 824-8696 I'm posting this for your information only, and am not in anyway affiliated with the boat or it's owner, and have no farther knowledge about it. Maybe it might help a fellow member find something he's looking for. |

Re: Seacraft for sale
UHGGG! In addition to the scare of a lengthy trip to FLA, I also need to get an outboard so I can get clear out of the water as I'll be fishing the shallows as well as the deep (well 30-50 feet deep)... Imageing needing a snotty boat to get to shallow water - Oh Well....
I got a quote yesterday on how much to haul a 21' boat from Miami to Providence and was quote 1700 plus...

Re: Seacraft for sale
I don't know John R. I'm not a builder or a restorer. However, if I was, or even almost was, and I was looking for a boat between 20' & 23" that would make it through the next season, and was cheap, I think I'd gave this guy a call. People on this site who apparently love to restore boats are looking at project boats asking 13K, and some body said that a project boat without motor and trailer would be worth about 4 or 5K. Some lower units do come all the way out of the water. Here's a guy asking $5500. for an I/O with a rebuilt 327, on a trailer, and seaworthy. I'd had to call him, ask what ever questions I had, and offer $4000. $1700 to transport is out of the question. You could drive down and trailer it back for far less.
Darn, I'm talking myself into looking into it if it's still there. Maybe I ought to give him a call. |
