Default 1985 Seacraft?

looking for opinions, I found a 1985 seacraft CC, twin merc 150's, supposodly run, but I consider them questionable, boat seems to be in good condition, dirty, but all glass in very good condition, no chips cracks ect.,gel coat faded, teak rod racks, and electronic box, T-top in good shape, includes trailer $7500, looking for input, I know it is not a potter hull, but not quite traker either, transom seems solid, what do you think

Have it surveyed (if you are specifically not looking for a project) and if it checks out, jump on it!!!! If the surveyor finds problems, ask yourself if you are willing to deal w/ them and adjust your offer accordingly.

For comparisons sake, in '00, I paid $8000 for my '85 20' Grady w/ a single 150 Merc. No T-Top, no trailer.

That is a great price!

Survey & buy. If its in fair shape $7500 is pretty good. Roll the mercs on Ebay and put on a single....

What John said.

Jack has a '85 23 Sceptre and you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between his and my father's '82. Granted, neither are Potters, but from a quality standpoint, CSY did as good a job as Potter.
