Have you ever heard the expression that "Life is the definition of what happens when you've made other plans"

Suffice it to say that I will not make Long Point. The estimated cost for the trip for us was $300, which, coincidentally, turns out to be the exact figure for my co-pay to take my son to the emergency room yesterday. SO I have a boat ready to go, half a dozen props stashed in the boat, but the money for the trip got spent in a different manner than I intended.
(FTR, turns out he's not broken, just bruised)

Matt, if you want to come by here and borrow a pinfish trap on your way, feel welcome. I'll also send you a PM.

Many thanks to all those who made it possible for such an awesome weekend. Soooooooo many beautiful boats, each with it's owners personal touch. Skiblet's 23 CC with it's twin 200 etec's and cool ass combing bolsters was really hot. To all those who helped out with the BBQ Saturday night............Kudos... ERIC with his kick butt marinated steak, Ken and Patti with 10 lbs of jumbo steamed shrimp, Skip and Carla cooking up a monster pork roast over hot coals, and especially Carl and Jeannie who were kind enough to endure all of our inquiries.

Did ya' all like my hot sauce for the shrimp????????

This was a great weekend. Boatpix got us all running the Sabasitan inlet and seeing those SeaCrafts just surf over a churned up inlet made it all worth while. Hopefully everyone made it home safely without incident. My poor wife had to endure Jack balling for 3 hours in the car. He has officially entered whatever stage is after the terrible "2's"

Pix to follow in a day or so.

WE made home OK too, the front shut the fish down on the flats out front but the sun came out shortly. 1 good fish hooked, very short release, he hit right near the boat but was a nice fish- sorry for my retardedness on the short hook up, I should know that and be ready damn trout do that.

When we were offshore Susan even said damn that sounds nice she is most non=gearhead I know I almost fell over, it sounds SOOO SWEEEET. I heard him coming Sat night and was looking all over, I guess he was behind the island though but he was cranking and man that was a sweet sound.

Capt Todd has done so much, and those Tackle Packs some east coast guys won looked great, now catch some stuff and post up on a couple forums you caught it on a Capt Todd's lure.

All the above posts "AFTER LONG POINT"did not transfer to the NEW THREAD with Ken's 1st post after Long Point(all replies should have moved to this new thread). So, if you want your post above to show on the other thread, just cut and paste your post and then delete your old post here.-The management
