Default HIN of OPM - Ocean Pro Marine Restoration?

I’m looking at purchasing a Seacraft that has a new HIN plate starting with OPM which is Ocean Pro Marine from Pompano Beach Florida. They went out of business in 2006. Does anyone have any history with a restoration from OPM? Thank you.

Why would a restoration have a different HIN?

Great question. Why does a restoration need a new HIN?

Look up Gary Pola. He was one of the largest Johnson/Evinrude dealers back in the day in South Florida. He copied the SeaCraft hull and hung an intrepid bracket on it. Called it an ocean pro. I think he got sued and stop making them. I have been on one that was a good riding boat but it is not a SeaCraft.

That’s it. It has a strange looking bracket on it. Thank you very much!

Snafu is correct. It’s not a Seacraft, it’s a copy.

Default Bracket

I'm not sure if it is the same boat, but there is a treasure coast CL ad for a SC that has an Intrepid looking bracket on it.
