Scuppers
Kiwi, restore looks good! Curious on what your plans are for scuppers. From the last set of pics it appears you sealed the thru bottom scuppers and did not route out the transom.

Beastley- I used the original thru deck drains. They were in good shape and I had no signs of leaks. The plan for this project was just to replace the transom. It was tough not to wonder, though.
FF- Couldn't have done it without you and this site. Just hung the motor yesterday. Rigging it today. The repair took a lot longer than I thought it would...I'm glad I took pictures of the rigging before removing the motor. |

Sorry for not posting final pictures. Here's the finished product. Anyone have any clues on why my OB won't exceed 4000rpm? I'm using the same prop that used to push up to 5200 rpm, new gas (from a remote tank), new water separator filter and housing, drained the VST multiple times, fuel pump pressure is good. Also ran some Seafoam thru it, and have a tank full of new gas, also with Seafoam. I'm hoping that one day, a semi clogged injector will open up and she'll be good as new!
I haven't tried measuring pump pressure or timing at speed yet... Anyway, thanks again to everyone for all of the great advice |

You might want to check for spark on all six cylinders. Could be an easy fix. If you've got good spark, and new plugs, and you're sure it's a fuel delivery problem, you want to fix it before a lean cylinder eats a piston.

I sent my EFI injectors out this year to Bracko (sp) in NC for flow test, cleaning, ect. Best under $200 I spent, piece of mind and quick turnaround.
