1974 23' value?
I am new to the site and have been looking for a project with my son. Came across a 23 foot 1974 seacraft with no motor. It has been sitting for approx 10 years. It appears to be in decent shape on quick inspection what are the high and low values on a boat like this. Do not even know if it for sale, but would like to be somewhat knowledgeable if I were to go forward.
Thanks this is a great site |

CC or Sceptre ... Value is what you are willing to spend... there is no clear answer for the question you possed .. Bare hulls goa as low as 1000 with and without trailers... i saw a posting the other day where a complete hunk of crap on a trailer with broken axels was being listed for 10000...... it will never sell for that .. and i paid too much for my non running sceptre with 2 150 2.4 mercs @ 4500... if you can pick it up for 1000 or less and do ALL the work yourself you may be able to get it done for less than buying a new boat...LOL welcome and good luck...

I gave 700 for my 23cc with a broken trailer tongue I had to weld together to pull it home ! Oh yea then there were the small trees starting life in the deck! But it was the full transome I wanted to start with

What he said. The value is what someone will pay for it. Seems the values lately are going up, everyone is buying SeaCrafts, hmmmmmmmm. :-) |

I have been watching this closely as i want to pick up another 20.. i want a SF to go with my MA... there was 2 below tampa CHEEP !! the next will be a bay/decked rear boat to replace my 19' bassboat... thinking 250 with 14" jackplate and tabs ... no top ... low console and flip down bench seat like the flats boat... thinking i can get close to 60 ish without too much trouble...

Funny but don't remember it chine walking to bad, nothing that alarmed me . Didn't get many chances to open it up like that was a great day just a slight wind that perfect Lil chop trimmed out and flyin! Most days the 2-4 ' I'd fishin her would require a bit more caution LOL
