Default comparing old seadrives to o/b with bracket

was just looking back at the articles and saw the performance figures of the omc seadrives and wondered how it would compare to a 200 ocean pro on a double bracket with only one mtr also?

My 20' has a mercruiser 888 v8 and my 18' has a 200 outboard but no bracket. My outboard is faster to plane and has more top end. The I/O looks nicer to me, but thats just just my opinion.

Im not really sure what you are asking though.

Infanterene you must like speed ! I had a 200 on my old 20 and would 64 on the GPS before adding. The t-top cant imagine what you get with a 18!!!!

Mine only hit 52-53. It was an old 200 Yamaha, it blew up last week.

I assume you're talking about a 23. If so, the Seadrives in question were the equivalent of a 115 V-4 of the day. That 200 Ocean Pro on the same boat will likely achieve similar speed/performance due to less weight with only minimally less total HP.

Yes I was talking about a /my 23 Wasn't sure what the horse power was on the old sea drives and how a stainless marine double bracket with the single op would compare with the single sea drive
