Default Making people jealous again. Abacos?

Let us hear your thoughts and dreams.

Let us reserve hotel rooms before they are gone.

Let us make our friends wish they lived here.

Cheers,
Dumbo, the very small elephant.

GFS-it may be difficult to find many SeaCraft owners with jealousy about anything..........But nonSeaCraft boat guys wrote the book on it after seeing one of our boats!

I'm getting fired up about the trip. I think with you, Ken, Terry, rainmaker,and about 10 other folks.......it will be an unforgettable trip. Who else is planning on going??

Abaco is too far for me. Made that trip in a 21' whaler and promised myself I would not do it again. 200 miles in one day : I would definately be interested in a Bahamas SC meet though

I've made the run to Green Turtle via West End or Walkers in one day a couple times, ~165-180 nm, and I agree that does make for a long day! The key is to have your boat set up so that you can anchor out and sleep aboard comfortably, like a Moesly 21 or a Seafari, and break up the trip into several days; make the 100 nm run to Walkers in an easy 4-5 hrs and clear customs, then spend a couple days diving/fishing and working your way down the chain to Green Turtle or Man O'War & Hopetown. Made the trip 3 more times that way and it was much more enjoyable. Have also made the trip via Lucaya, spending the night in the marina and running thru the Grand Bahama cut that comes out near Mangrove Cay the next day. That was fun too, but I'd rather anchor out in a nice breeze than spend the night in a marina! An added bonus is that in my experience, once you get to know them, the folks in the Abaco's seem to be more hospitable than in the Grand Bahama area.

Rev it up Terry!

My time is fluid. Let us start a new thread and nail it down.

I think it might be fitting if you start the thread and we will do all the back { breaking }
work on intel.

My Furuno tells me so,
GFS

Or we could help Tee build an out door shower.
