Yamaha has changed their site to what looks like for the worse. That motors operating range is 4500-5500 rpm. Not sure of the diameter but starting with a 17p maybe Yam saltwater series 3 blade SS is in the ballpark. You'll need to determine that the motor height is correct and then prop is correct by reaching the operating rpms. I had the 225 and now 250 ox66 and run a Solas 4 blade 17. The boat stays on plane a t a lower rpm and hits 5000 so I'm all happy.

Jeeeeez....we have prop threads on general discussion and gatherings, I kinda thought this subject should be on performance.

I would think the 17p would work since my boat is similar. I would do a search on here though as well as on propgods.com.
Ken fromt hat site has been trying to help me as I tried a 21p on my 23 contender recently but I can't get the RPM's past 4900.
