Default Splashwell gate design help for 23cc

Hi all,

I'm in the process of finishing up the splash-well on my 1976 23ft SeaCraft and need some help. I have removed the original Potter splash-well and would like to put something back on the lines of this.

The problem is I need a measurement from the floor up to the engine coiling when tilted up out of the water. My engine is not on the boat now, and putting it back on is not an option at this moment to get the required measurement. My transom hight is 30in with original floor hight.

I just need to know how much clearance to allow for when I glass in the required bulkhead for the splash-well door. I'm trying to make the bulkhead as high as possible, to cut down on the size of the actual door.

I hope you guys can help me out,

Nate22
