Default Radical Idea ?

Has anyone ever laid a thin layer of plywood or a combo of plywood and fiberglass over a soft floor . I laid a piece
of thin paneling on the floor of the boat while I was working on the bilge access area the other day . I was surprised when I stood up to grab a tool and the floor did not give at all .A light bulb went off in my head , and then I thought about my last bright idea which didn't turn out too well.

Like you, I suspect that most ideas that sound "too good to be true" usually end up being just that.

Before you take off and start getting busy on the "terrific" idea, stop and think what isn't going to work out in long run. In this case, the original problem is a process resulting in the problem. Without stopping that process while correcting the problem, the process continues. It will likely be creating a bigger problem or a more difficult correcting process in order to repair it a second time.
