Re: FIshing Florida
Whoa!
Peck`s? We`re going in the am. Was talking with the old salts at Lott Bros, and they asked me if I`d ever dragged dead flyers. Do tell says I. Another old salt walked in and grabbed some. Hmmm, well I`ve always seen at least one or five in DoDo stomachs so why not try it. The rig is simple too. Two oz jigs up through the bottom of the mouth and out the roof of the mouth. White and chartruse. Cheers, GFS |

Re: FIshing Florida
Thank's Big Lew. Those were caught off lake worth Beach actually earlier this year right when the start of rough weather and all the mackeral ran south as usual then head back to Peck's lake.
Sandy I do not know that rig.. I do know that number 2 clark spoon works good, for jumbos i use a sardine on a triple hook and slow bounce it. Their is a mackeral tinker rig that works really well in all weather situations and water clarity red, white, chartruese, yellow. The Kings are from the Mini season that opened up last month in that snotty weather. Was 4 to 8 on the ouside from juno to Palm beach with a gale From The netherworld on top of the wind chill. Coast gaurd cirlced a group of us by plane <five boats> for thirty or so minutes minutes. The ride in was worst than resetting drifts. for all the locals looking for kings off boynton they are chewing from three in the morning to 8 then its hit or misss. new moon is coming also so they will really turn on.. black fins, dolphin r there. Yellow tails have been around also.. Best of luck everyone Chris |
