Default Seastar helm rebuild?

Has anyone ever rebuilt a seastar helm or know where to get info? I looked, briefly, for some info on the net but was unsuccessful. Thanks for the help.

i rebuilt a helm. it was not seastar but i think they are the same thing now. i think it was a hynautics helm? but it was pretty straightforward. i would not worry. the seal kit came with pretty decent instructions.

Just a little food for thought.

I once rebuilt a Seastar. Paid for the kit went through all the work and it came out great.

The following week I went to a boat surplus store and saw a brand new unit for less than the rebuild kit.

Go figure...Just check around first then do what works best for you
