Do you mean hooked on the bottom near the transom?

Take a 6-8 foot straight edge and hold it along the bottom. That will show you where any deflection or "hook" in the running bottom might be.

My concern is that there is a bulge 3 feet forward of the transom on the starboard side, the port side looks normal. Everything below the water line "looks" normal. Am I missing something? Or, could it be the way the cap is put on?

Is the bulge in the cap? The cap is screwed/glued on, and they have a habit of coming loose there. All you have to do is take the rub rail off and reattach. Do is bulge up or out? and how far. As usual, a picture would go a long way.

I agree that you need to find the "cause" of the bulge.
Is the boat sitting properly on the trailer with proper supports?
If the cause is not obvious, then a suggestion would be to off-load the boat onto the ground, a flat 1x4, laying on a flat surface (concrete slab). Lightly supported at the chine to keep from tipping over. Keep checking the supports & keep them barely touching.
Let the boat sit for a week or two to 'relax' out, and see if the bulge goes away.
We did this with our 21, and she became perfectly plumb and level. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the thoughts. Here's some more info in hopes of solving this problem. The boat has boat stands in the rear corners, front on blocks 1/3 - 1/2 way back for several months. Here are some pics to help show the problem. [image]http://s120.photobucket.com/albums/o193/dmese/?action=view&current=DSCN0506.jpg[/image] -is starboard side looking aft bulge. [image]http://s120.photobucket.com/albums/o193/dmese/?action=view&current=DSCN0505.jpg[/image] -is port looking forward, notice the slight dip

I would look to make sure the stringers are intact and connected to the bottom of the hull on both sides. If they are, and there looks to be no repair work, and there are no stress cracks, my guess is it has been like that since day 1. What year/model/size is it?
There were some ones that had the "hook" in them right out of the factory, but I don't think it was much more than cosmetic. Some that knows more about the "hook hulls" can add more, I have only seen pictures, not one up close.
As for the "bulge", that is a new one on me. You also might want to put a moisture meter on it, if there is delamination on the bulge, most likely, it has water trapped in it.

Bad tooling. The hull could have had the bulge since new like mine. The mold had worn out and wasn't replced in time. It may not be structural at all. My starboard side has a hollow and the port a small buldge.
I can see it was made that way. Or pulled from the mold to soon.
