Same bolt pattern. Standard BIA bolt pattern.

It's amazing to me how Mercury can make the most dependable outboard on the water in the 1.5 liter I3 Optimax motors (75, 90, 115), and some of the most UNdependable motors in the 2.5 liter V6 Optimax motors (135, 150, 175). If you look up the technical service bulletins for each, it's an amazing contrast. The service bulletins binder for the 1.5L motors is under 15 pages, the 2.5L is over 200 pages.

same bolt pattern. I have a 20 with a 135 opti in my yard now and having run it compared to my old 20 with the 140 4S Suzuki the performance was very similar. I will not argue with you on the issues with Mercury, Trying to Winterize the Opti was a challenge in itself, I am still trying to figure out how to put the port lower spark plug back in.....
