I have a Aluminum Rolls float on type for my 23'. I replaced the original brakes with Stainless Steel ones along with SS Rotors and Calipers. It has leaf springs that I have replaced once. I have owned the trailer since 1986. The only complaint I have is the LARGE Cypress Bunks that are 4"x 12" which causes the trailer to float when submerged. With a strong wind and/or swift current it becomes tricky keeping the trailer straight when loading.

With practice, it's nothing that a good sailor can't adjust to

Bobby

I thought of that a few years back but now I keep the boat permently on a lift. I rarely use the trailer except for trips to the Keys or Boca Grande. Both areas have very shallow ramps so the "floating" helps

BTW: Shortly I'll have a few shots for you of the keel bilge drain installation with the access from inside the transom you wanted. The Transom Enclose/Potter Bracket is now completed

This is one slick setup for the keel drain. Dare I say Gucci even?

Chuck,

The last time my trailer floated, I forgot to take one of the stern straps off...

That's great Chuck. Looking foward to it.

I think I saw somewhere that you gave the weight of the Potter bracket? It seemed to be pretty heavy.
