Default 79 SEACRAFT 18 CC POWER?

I WAS WANTING TO KNOW IF ANYONE WAS RUNNING A 150 YAMAHA 2SRTK.CARB MOTOR AND ALSO WHAT KIND OF SPEED ARE YOU GETTING OUT OF IT,ALSO WHAT SIZE PROP ARE YOUR RUNNING. I'M THINKING ABOUT PUT ONE ON MINE ALMOST READY FOR POWER IN THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP SPECKFISHN

Not sure about the Yammie. I have an 18sf 1977. I am running a 2000 Johnson 2 stroke and get about 48-49 tops. Running a 19 pitch. Hope this helps a little.

On my sea trials in my soon to be 1970 20ft SF with a 2000 Johnson 150 we saw 49 on the GPS.

What the heck? What pitch prop, and what Johnson. They Grey 2strk?? [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] Also why are you changing to the Yammie??

If you are asking me, I will let you know th eprop pitch this weekend. As for the motor, it is a 2000 Johnson 150, Carbed, the one with the black case.

my 20 with a 83 150 rude will hit 47 on my gps so i dont think jet is too far off. By the way jet im also thinking about going bracket on my 20. If you do go with the bracket let us know how it turns out. Very interested

Sorry man, I wasn't paying attention to the names, I got you and Jetro mixed up. [img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img] (long day) I like the Yammies. Curious to see what kinda numbers you get outta her.

Alright I had my 20 out on my own for the first time today and she ran 40kts at 4900 RPM on GPS.
And she cruises easy at 3900 RPM at about 35kts.

I forgot to check the pitch on the prop, but I will soon enough.

I think I can get a little more out of her once I learn the correct trim.
