Bigshot,
I'm in. Tired of the weekend cold front rains, but hey, bet any guy up north would welcome a 85 degree rain shower even on a weekend. I'm trailering down to Ft. Desoto. See ya there.

Well....it was not a success, the weather was though. I got there late and Tarpon Tom was already moored up. I tried to beach the boat but the current and waves were too much. So then I tried to throw the anchor which turned out to be a rats nest and took about 20 mins to unravel. By the time I got it straightened out, a Whaler member who was on the leeward side of where we were said it was MUCH calmer. So as I drove over there I ran out of gas. I sent Bill to get Tom and tell him where we were. Tom never showed up so I called him and said we reserved a spot but he never came over....What happened Tom? By the time I got more fuel and drove around to where he was, he was gone....sorry Tom that we did not get together. We had 3 other Whalers besides mine so turnout was weak. We'll try it again in the fall.
