Default 1976 23 Sceptre

This boat was in the April 10,2003 Rappahanock Record (small Northern Neck news paper).
The boat will be Auctioned at 10:00 am on May 3,2003 at the Grace Episcopal Church yard sale in Kilmarnock VA. The yard sale is to benefit the Alexandria Police Boys Camp which is near Kilmarnock.
I/O 351 Mercruiser power, the boat will be in the church parking lot for anyone that wants to look at it.
I have not seen the boat yet, so I don't know any details. I will try to look at it and get some pictures this week end.

Default Re: 1976 23 Sceptre

Went and looked at this boat over the weekend, the boat is advertised as a 1976 but it looks like a 1975 by the hull id number. The boat is in overall fair shape, it does not appear to have been used in a couple of years.
The bottom does have paint on it, but the build up does not look to be to bad.
The deck is soft and spongy over the fuel tank, not too bad every where else, the transome seems sound though I just hit it with my fist and could not drill any holes. The boat is SeaCraft blue gelcoat with white topside, looks like all original hardware. Did not even try to turn the engine over as the boat is on a trailer.
The trailer is an older tandom axle, and I think will go with the boat.
If anyone has more questions I will try to get answers for you.
