23sf inboad deck replacement question
I need to replace my deck but the stringers are also wet. Can the inner liner and the hull separated easily and still stay in one piece?

That depends on your definition of "easy". I just removed it all on my Sceptre (although I was not reusing any of it, so it was done with the help of a Sawzall). If it's the same install as the Sceptre, the cap is just screwed on with an easily removed sealant. The liner had only a few screws holding it to the hull under the cap, and there were no fasteners on the deck. The deck was just held in place with potter putty that on my boat wasn't still attached anywhere.
Short answer, if you had a couple people and a couple shop or bridge cranes, it'd be less work to remove it all in one piece and then reinstall in one piece. |

Yes I know about the cap I have to unscrew the rub rail and then there is another 100 screws for the cap to the inner liner/ hull. I have the rear hatch out and gas tanks removed. The fiber glass guy that is helping me told me to to the floor the correctly and fix the foam I need the take the bout apart in three pieces. Just didn’t know how much putty was used towards the bow of the boat and around the front boxes?

You can also cut out the floor and replace it with a composite like coosa. You don't have to mess with the inner liner & top cap and you still have access to the stringers. Leave 1 1/2" around the edge of the old floor to set your new floor on. It's a big job which ever way you go.

What he said... If there is any need to raise the deck for better drainage, this is the way to go.
