Default Moeller fuel tank

Anyone ever used one of these? Thinking about it for my Seafari. 25 gallons. 47x18x7.5. The fill is at 10.5

I replace my 95 gal. tank in my 1998 ,21 SeaCraft with a 60 gal 4 years ago , no problems, I had a lot of extra room around the new tank so we did use some foam to fill in some space,no problems, they do expand a bit the first few times you fill it, and they do not recommend foaming in these tanks..

I put one in my 18 when I redid her many years ago. Had no problems.
Good peace of mind knowing it will never rot out and spring a leak too.

I actually have a brand new one in the loft at the boatyard that I ordered by mistake.
If it fits, and you're interested I'd be happy to make a deal with you.

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately It is too wide for my opening of 22 inches. One of my concerns with these tanks is the fill and vent are on the same end and that is the end that would have to be closest to the stern. With the bow tilted up, if the fuel covers the vent opening would any pressure buildup in the tank not force fuel up through the vent tube or am I overthinking the concern there?

I put one in my 18 two years ago and couldn’t be happier. Feels like I’ll never have to do it again.

Years ago I used to sell chemicals to the commercial fishing fleets. One day I was delivering two 55 gallon drums of a hazardous, acid based product in 55 gallon poly drums (520 lbs/dr) to a tuna boat docked downtown San Diego. One of the crew members jumped in the back of my lifted Toyota pushed the drum over and kicked it out of the back of my truck. I watched in horror as the drum literally bounced off the ground but didn’t leak a single drop. It left a lasting impression of how tough poly is and definitely played into my decision to go with a poly tank.

The only negative I’ve read is that fuel will permeate the tank and you’ll be able to smell the fuel. I keep my boat inside my work warehouse and haven’t experienced this.
