New Trailer

Ok gents just looking for some help. I did some research but couldn't find any real definitive answers. Just looking for where it's best to place the bunks for my 1972 20' SF. I would use my old trailer but not sure the previous owner set it up right. If this has been beat to death I apoligize but don't want to take a chance. As always pics help a lot. . Trailer is a 2013 Float On.

I pulled lines off a 20MA, which should be identical to any potter era 20 footer, as far as trailer bunks is concerned.

The bunks are aluminum and pivot. I'm just concerned how far to space them from center. I read somewhere you want them lined up with the stringers. Is that correct? Thanks again.

Obviously, best to secure bunks up tight to Chines. For self-centering when retrieving. Best to only do it once.

If this opens it is completely incorrect. This is the Seafari temporarily on a Owens and Sons custom built to secure the sponsons of a 15 Whaler...

If you can get the inside opening between inside of bunks between 54 and 55 inches you will be set for life. It is the measurement between outer and middle two flatter surfaces of your variable deadrise hull. Cannot recall correct nautical term.

Part II

I measured as best as possible and adjusted the bunks accordingly. Hoping to get the trailer registered tomorrow and get her swapped onto the new trailer in the afternoon. From there I'm sure there will be some minor or major adjustments . Also sprayed and wiped down the entire trailer with anti-corrosion stuff (I can't remember...dang Flor de Cana). Any case thanks for the advice!

Strive for 54" inside chine to inside chine of inner bunks. No one has chimed in to call me a Googan! I believe that i am correct.
