I got to learn how to stay off of Craigslist!
I got to learn how to stay off of Craigslist. A nice little seafari on a good dual axel trailer popped up only 20 minutes away for a price hard to refuse. I need it like I need a hole in my head. The trailer will be nice to use and I'm always needing an extra trailer. It's my first seafari 20 in the yard. It will go nice with its big brother version I'm getting in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see how much more room is in the +5' model.

Nice clean boat, nice pickup. Are you getting that 25ft Seafari in New York that used to be black and now is white? The boat seems like it has been for sale a while.

FF - looks like a nice find; you're well on your way to having a complete SeaCraft collection! That's a later model Seafari . . . deck has been raised an inch or two and the windshield has been moved forward about a foot relative to earlier models, creating more room for instruments and electronics behind the windshield. If it's an outboard version, it will also have a 50 gal gas tank instead of 34-35 gal. that was standard on the earlier version. After you finish your 20' Sceptre, you'll find that the Seafari cockpit is only about 6" shorter, and it's got a whole lot more dry storage room in the cabin. It's really a very versatile model.

No, I talked to him and attempted to get it but there was too much red tape for a drive like that for me. I got to feel real good about something like that to take a 800 mile plus drive. The owner was out of country when I tried to make it happen and I have a hard time getting off of work that long to make long trips like that. I ended up finding another one instead that I feel better about getting. The one I am getting needs a lot of work but dealing with the owner has been way more pleasant and he has been much easier to work with. Hope to get it in the next couple of weeks if work will allow the time off.
