Nonskid sand for deck
Hey guys going to be gelcoating the deck on this tsunami soon and just trying to see what anyone has used for a nice "not too course" finish. I plan on keeping the same line pattern in the floor. I'm looking to see what you used and what you think worked best. Thx

Check out YouTube about Awlgrip and non-skid. Some good info.

I used Duckback Anti Skid additive which is crushed walnut shells. I just mixed it in the gelcoat and rolled it on the deck. I'm pretty sure you could spray with the right tip if that's what your doing. I used sand once on a deck and never again will I use something that can't be sanded down where needed.

Im actually In the process of doing the same project with Interlux Perfection, I am going to see how the current non-skid looks after I prime before I add Interlux's grip additive.

I was thinking of trying the glass particles for a sand blaster. Looks like a may work well.

I tried the same process with gelcoat on a friend's hatch cover with less success. The gelcoat was a lot thicker, so it didn't roll out as well. It might work fine with a spray application.
