what is best to paint non skid?
all my non skid area seem to have been painted at the same time with the same color as my hull they the non skid if worn now and will need refinishing soon.
I don't think I need a textured paint like kiwi whatever but I would like to find a good durable finish to use and preferably in as close as possible to what it is now what is best awl grip? |

Awlgrip is some tough stuff. Dont go white as it's really hard to clean. The white on my 20 sceptre gets so dirty that I'm considering going to another color if I can ever bring myself to stop fishing and start working on boats again.

Interlux perfection with Interlux Intergrip..used it with good results and simple...I mix in or you can broadcast if you feel up to it.
After Christmas I am going to try kiwigrip on my next boat just for fun and will let my son go to town with the little notched trowel while I sit back and watch with a cold one!!! He is pretty good with playing with thin set so hopefully he will get the hang of kiwigrip. Of course I will tape tape tape first...hell its just a boat!!!!

I have used Signature Finish with non-skid particles, taped, and rolled it in very successfully.
Tom with SF can walk you through every thing you need I got base white, took a hatch to local Sherwin Williams, match 35 year old gelcoat and redid top deck and floor keeping the same non-skid pattern. SF is a good product that is very durable. |

I got a awlgrip color chart. It looks like the last owner used awlgrip seafoam on the hull and on the nonskid decks but it is dull/flat and very worn.
I see they have a flatting agent for the finnish. Is this really? needed going over a sand texture finnish now? I dont think ill need more grit i just want to put the color back |
