Default bracket question

I have a 1974 20 center console with a yamaha f150 with a 20 inch shaft. It takes a fair amount of water over the back and I would like to mount a bracket and enclose the transom. Has anybody put a bracket on a 20 with a similar motor(440lbs)? As it is motor sits on the transom at it's original hight. Any insite would be appriciated.

Default Re: bracket question

Check out Strick's "Here we go again!" thread. He built his own bracket and takes you on a trip both down and up refurbville like no other person to my knowledge. Worth ten time the time it takes to read it! I think it's close to a thousand or more entries.

Good luck and keep us informed.
