1974 scepter
I just got this boat and I am thinking about restoring/remodeling, maybe making it a center console/frankenstein. Any suggestions??

Re: 1974 scepter
I know that cc's are what almost everybody prefers out on the ocean, and they probably make more sense than a full windshield boat but I cant seem to wrap my head around the idea. To me it would be a sin to do that to a sceptre. I fish the great lakes though and not the salt.
That said, I guess as long as you keep it on the water that is all that matters.

Re: 1974 scepter
Put in a small console, keep the cabin. Voila', instant SeaCraft Savage!

Re: 1974 scepter
I like the red hull it looks good in the pictures anyway. It would be a shame to cut up a good sceptre the cabin is a good place to lock up stuff. But if you decide to convert to a cc I would be very interested in the cabin hatch and attaching hardware.

Re: 1974 scepter
Here's a Savage. Both Center Console & Cuddy Cabin, so i guess it's a SeaCraft 23' CCCC:

Re: 1974 scepter
I always had CC's but that Sceptre was my favorite boat, easy to do if you want to make it a Savage. The cabin is nice to store stuff out of the way - carry bags, extra rods all kinds of stuff. I got to like that fact I wasn't being buffeted by the wind all day, takes it out you on a long run.

Re: 1974 scepter
The outside of the boat does not look like it should go with the inside.
Very clean and shined up. Very abused and dirty. What is up
