Default Raising the stern

My boats an older 24' Trophy with enclosed cabin Alaska bulkhead etc, etc.

I want to extend the water line length to give it some lift so she sits on her lines. I am thinking an easy way to do this without extending the transon would be to attach fiber glassed pods to the existing transom. I am thinking 2 ea 12"d X 12"w X say 8" high.

Anyone out there have any prior experience doing this??

A cubic foot of water weight about 63 lbs....that's 12 X 12 X 12....so each of those pods will give you about 40lbs of flotation if completly submerged........is that enough to be worth the effort???
