Default Pocket rocket - New boat theory proposal

My wife says I'm worse than her, because I change my mind so often. What she doesn't know is that I'm taking delivery of a 2003 16' Boston Whaler Dauntess with a Merc 115 4 stroke on Friday.

With the 23 project shelved for good weather, I couldn't stand not having a "little boat" for cruising and fishing. My buddies call it a "boat jones". The inflatable with a Honda 8 hp was standing in, but really sucked and I've concluded that it's not really a boat afterall. Well, let's say I don't feel it qualifies for any boat theories stated to date. Sooo...

I hearby propose the modified "THREE BOAT THEORY" This theory states that despite earlier statements, inflatables (under 12' or 25 HP), canoes or other assorted small craft do not qualify. THEREFORE, the appropriate configuration for this theory is a "pocket rocket" of up to 18' in length (it may or may not be a SeaCraft), PLUS, a 20' or 23' SeaCraft any model, PLUS a larger craft (the "big boat") that sleeps 2 or more, has a/c and a seporate head for family fun/cruising and other occational mischief.

This completes my 2003 thesis on the THREE BOAT THEORY. I hearby disavow all previous boat theories. Well, except, perhaps the 4 chick per boat theory which I (secretly) enjoy.

Please post your employers who pay enough to honor the 4 boat theory and waterfront housing. I know I'm in the wrong business!

Hi, my name is Otto and I'm a boatahaulic...

Ok, I admit to a "little" excessive/compulsive boat behavior. I "blame" it on 3 things:

First, I live with 3 females. The little ones have more over all the time and a typical female count this time of year is 5 or 6 at any one time. A better example is that we slept 12 on the Carver last Saturday and 10 of them were female. Sounds like a fantasy, but let me assure you my fellow SeaCrafters that all but 2 were under 14. My daughter’s 13th birthday was this past Tuesday. We took 9 teenagers to Six Flags and they all slept on the living room floor. The 24 hours from hell. Need I say more?

Second, the 23 CC project led to my involvement with this site. And YOU, my friends, are partially responsible for getting my boat testosterone flowing too heavy. The damn 4-boat theory became so real I now can't help myself. A good lawyer could make a case against you guys.

Third, life is too short. 6 years ago, I had a close call with colon cancer and am VERY lucky to be where I am now. So, I'm going for the gusto. As a public service to all my good friends out there: If you are over 40 and/or have a family history of colon issues, PLEASE get a colonoscopy this year. It sounds like an uncomfortable procedure, but it's not. The drugs are terrific.

Otto,
You know I'm up for adoption. I do yard work,
am pretty handy with tools. Cleaning fish is nothing compared to what I have seen..., so how about it... Dad
Oh yeah I can also drink beer with you so you don't have to drink alone.

Cheers,
Pat

The three boat and one adopted son theory.

Otto,
Hear hear! I also support the 3 Boat theory! I take delivery of a 2004 Sweet 16 Donzi, with the big engine, in a couple of weeks. My wife is half owner, boy is she in for a surprise. Like you my project boat will be shelved till the fall, and hopefully finished up this winter. I am DAMN tired of working on boats .
cya,
JW
