I snagged site the interior site 173. Wife will be arriving by car and me by boat.
I hope she has the site set up by the time I pull in. It does work that way since I set up the entire camp in Melbourne, right?

Good deal Brian. That sounds like a great tradition having the wives set-up camp @ Ft. Desoto for us Tampa Bay guys. After all we have it tuff, leaving from our docks and crossing the WHOLE TAMPA BAY.......
 I'm sure Mrs. Snookerd would be fired up to snap to it !

Not sure I will be able to make it across the "Whole Tampa Bay" in October.....just watched the local Tampa area news/weather, looks like "Fay" is going to wipe out all mankind on the west coast of Florida. Just in case, I'm on the way to Publix to buy bottled water for the wife and lots more Budweiser for me. Wish us well..........

It looks like 222 is the only one left out on the island we are on. It is a few hundred feet away, but every site is great, even the interior lots like 222. You can tie your boat up to anyone's waterfront lot site. Come on up from Sarasota..........

If you want to stop at my place I am between the entrance to the manatee river and the skyway on Terra Ceia Bay. We could meet up and cross the bay together. Snag that sight and we'll have a blast!!!!! Brian
