I'm in,
Wife and I plan to pack the tent in the Ole' NoBones
and camp on the island Saturday night. I could run shuttle for those who do not bring a boat. It would be nice to have some kind of a pot luck lunch as a group.
Attached is the link for Anclote

There are multiple spots close for pickup's, and I will be staying over as well. I just got a new tent and 2 cots, need to put the tent up and check if the cots will actually fit There should be plenty of food, my cruise director is quite the master of island cooking. Also the grouper should be in close, 10 miles or less and I have plenty of numbers, as well as great snook and redfish right off the beach. I have 2 canopy's as well.

Thank God you will be there Fr. Frank, I think we will need
all the positive direction we can get!
This should be a good time. Hopefully we can get the rest
of the East Coast guys to caravan over togther.
Time to get the list going. I will be happy to keep score on this. Maybe we can get some of the out of state guys to join in. Face it how many chances can we have to meet the inventor of our world famous boats. I can hardly contain myself.

I’ll be there if it’s at Anclote Key. It’s my backyard and favorite camping spot. The most beautiful barrier island on the West Coast for those that haven’t been there. I always camp on the North end where the Australian pines are.

Yall let me know your final plan and if we can make it out for a visit, we will. I've never been to Anclote before but I'm sure I can find my way. I actually have a few other Seacraft buddies (and possible a new one if he buys that Seminole colored 20' from George) that would join in. Not to throw another log on the fire but ya know another island that's a ball to camp on, real primative island with several open areas is Gilligan's Island (some call it 9 Pines) at the northern end of intercoastal water way, where it dumps into Anna Maria Sound (Tampa Bay). We take the girls there once or twice a year and they love it. Tons of stuff for them to wade for, explore island, the Bulkhead and Perico Cove right behind it for fishing. It would be right smack dab in the middle of the Tampa and Sarasota folks. It don't matter to me. Yall just let me know when it's finalized.
PS: thanks for the heads up EggDog. You're on the FS forum under the same name, ain't ya?

Yep same name, we considered Ft Desoto also but the Mosely's live in Inglis, so that would add another tough 60 miles from New Port Richey to the fort. Snookerd and Briguy are coming from your area, a tow up the I 275 to Largo/ Bellair would be easy to use the Bellair ramp at Clearwater Pass then run up the ICW ( no more slow zones). The ramps further north are harder to get to driving wise, I'd rather ride in the boat more personally.
