Actually you may find that it will create a vacuum with it pointing backwards. The seacock is the answer to slowing down or stopping water flow into the tank when not wanted or to much. |

I have not been doing much on the boat. The LP is almost finished. I will resume work sometime after the Holidays and post then.

Re: Here We Go Again
The 20sf project has been moving along at turtle speed over the last few months. Other important obligations that needed attention have been attended to and taken care of and so the boat has had to take a back seat for a while.
When I left off I was in the process of making a fiberglass leaning post that will incorporate a Kodiac live well internally. Here it was curing in the mold: The mold was made out of 3/4 mdf. A heavy coat of wax was wiped into the mold and then PVA was sprayed over the wax. Two layers of heavy matt and 4 layers of 1708 were used in the lay up. The corners were all reinforced with 6 inch 1708 tape. As I was laying up the matt I began to see alligators appearing. I dont know what is worse having a part stick to a mold, which requires scraping off the mold from the part or having lots of alligators to fill and sand smooth. This part ended up having tons of alligators....a result of using too much wax and the pva. You can see the alligators in the pic's below: Fast forward after many hours of sanding, fairing, priming and finally painting; The fuel hatch is sealed and screwed in place and the rigging is run up through the deck; The hydraulic steering is mounted and all the lines are run thru the transom; This is what the door will look like in the cc. Marine connection has these. The cc has been secured to the deck. Blue Seas battery switch; Inside the consel; Low tide in Alaska; I will post again as it nears completion. strick
