Fred,

Tom can match virtually any color if you know brand and name of the color, so I'm sure he could match the Easypoxy topside color (Ocean Blue?). I told him I wanted something to match my Sunbrella top color of Aquamarine which I used for bootstripe and bottom; he has the formula to match all the Sunbrella colors. I took him a plug I had removed for an access hatch to see if he could match the gel coat, and he absolutely nailed it. The stripe between bootstripe and bottom is that paint, also used on sides of steps. I believe it's called Hattaras White, which is actually an off-white/Ivory color that doesn't show dirt as bad as pure white.

Thanks Denny, just seeing if it is feasible to sand all off and start over...dried in better than I anticipated..but still a soft paint! Trying to line up a meeting w/ Capt Chuck to see what to do and then will run sample to Tom...etc. Again cost being an issue..but if done right the first time might come out in the long run!
.looks like you have a brand new trailer now

Matt...Thanks for your input!!!
I am going to just go with regular black bottom paint for now...might change though...debating costs and time...I want to get this thing in the water so I will not do the Seacraft bottom job at this point!!!!

That's the way I would go. It looks much better and, like you said, no waterline to tape off. Getting anxious?

Hey Evan,
My wife picked this blue out...not the right shade for me..but I too love the Blues/Blacks color combo!!!

Regarding painting lessons...I had a great 2 hour class meeting this evening with Capt Chuck (thanks for your time Capt.)and have decided to go with Signature Paint for all . The Pettit just doesn't cut it for what I want to accomplish (very soft paint!!). SOOO starting over ...back to sanding and a ton of prep work...going to stick with some shade of blue though for hull sides..and a blue close enough that my wife won't say "what happened to my blue..blah blah blah etc. etc...!!!"

Ha that's funny.....My wife would NEVER, and I mean NEVER log onto "That boring boat website". If I was Tiger Woods, I could have hid ALL my misstresses here and she would have NEVER found them. That's assuming I had any mistresses, but we all know that ALL of our money goes to SeaCraft's and associated parts, etc!!! LOL..
