Keep it going Terry. Good work!
I needed about a 4' riser for the Porta-Potti in my tent at Longpoint. I'm too old to crawl around on my knees to piss in a jar

Terry,
FYI. Lil is the Admiral in Chuck's family! BTW, will you have a locker for anchor line up in the bow? Also, how long did the bunks end up being with the mods you made? Denny

As for the V-bunks they are 6 feet. So if I want I could sleep over if we went out to the middle grounds.

Did some more screwing today It is amazing how long it takes to bed in those tiny little screws with 4000 not to mention cleaning the stuff up. Glides out of starboard. Hatch trimmed and fitting good Junk boxes and grab handle installed Denny, how the anchor sits in the "foot" locker Now I am really done with the front section of the boat and the fun begins...wiring the dash and tightening up the wire runs.

Looking spectacular Terry!!
Now about Chuck with his 4' porta-potti riser in his tent, he would then have to have a flap in the top of his tent so his head could stick out while he was on the pot!!! Would be quite obvious what he was doing!! Interesting sight! |

Hey Terry,
Could you possibly repost, or send me a PM, of your photos of the foredeck repair? I've just picked up a '71 Seafari, trying to mount an anchor roller/etc. on the bow, and have discovered the balsa is shot. Denny (Bushwacker...what a nice, patient guy!) is kindly talking me through the process, and I've done a load of research here, but photos would help me visualize the process. Thanks...from a newbie owner with Seacraft in his genes (Dad owned 72 Seafari, 74 Tsunami, currently owns a '74 CC)...along with many other very disturbing neuroses... Ed in Arlington, VA (FYI, the '73 CC I had in my possession...just long enough to have the transom rebuilt...is now back with my dad and brother in Parrish, FL)

Whoops! Never mind...I found the photos a few pages down, how you supported the inner skin, etc. etc. My are is much smaller, so my first attempt at this work will be much simpler...I hope...
Thanks anyway. Ed in Arlington, VA

From post #49, for the foredeck, you said, "I decided to save weight and use a product called Tuff Stuff. It is a polyurethane 1/2 inch and was scrim and scored." I can't find a source for purchasing this product.
Today you kindly emailed me and recommended scored Coosa. I can't find any Coosa that is scored, and I assume 1/2" regular Coosa won't bend sufficiently for adequate crown. This is for my 71 Seafari, so my replacement dimensions are much smaller than your 21. Any recommendations on sourcing scored Coosa, and which Coosa product do you recommend? Thanks again.
