World class Snook right off the pier!!

Yo, 76Red18 (Richard) and Island Trader (Terry)
Were talkin'your back yard for the next one...
We could just camp on Dom Perignon Island where
Terry lives.. Looks like a bunch a places
we could squat for the weekend!

I know there is not much in the way of water front camping
in Lee County. The Sonesta, Periwinkle on Sanibel
& South Seas Plantation were my only experiences!

Almost forgot Port of the Islands when they had the Redfish Tourney back in the 80's

Lets get the feelers out on this one!

It's time for a SW gathering.

See ya, Ken

Anyone have interest in a November trip on the West Coast?

Lets start a new thread on this one. There is a nice state park on Boca Grande Pass...

Cayo Costa State Park

Oh yeah......this is a great area. Would be hard to leave the flats boat home on this one. Had a lot on Little Gasparilla years ago, know the area fairly well. Really great fishing.

Cayo is the only option, Nov is good for bugs, bad for anchoring on the outside of the island, maybe. Getting back to the inside docks is a very long walk, tram is not very reliable. You can rent a bike but carring anything is out then. There is a lagoon inside Johnson Shoals but I don't think you can get in there any more, too bad that would be perfect. Boat dockage is very tight, not much there
Don Pedro Island is only the list for the State to allow a contractor to put in campsites but that plan may never be.

Susan and I were down at Sanibel for week last fall, there were some cottages and stuff up on Captiva but they also seemed pretty expensive, I'll see what she remembers as we did check that out.

Only a day park now, and most likely to stay that way.

So is Honeymoon Island but both are the list they want to put campsites in - 35 to 45 at Honeymoon. This is a very new plan and all the enviro's are whacked around here. I straighten them out when I mentioned a developer built the causeway or they still couldn't get there - crickets.

Default Lake Boca Gathering

I ran into a 1973 Red SeaCraft Seafari last weekend. It reminded me of the Classic SeaCraft gatherings and that I haven't been to one yet.

Then I realized I could start one....I have a white '73 20' Seafari. I will be sleeping out November 12 and staying thru the 13th in Lake Boca..

Veterans Day weekend, Who's with me?
