Re: 1978 Potter built SeaCraft 20
Anyone who got that rig for under 8 walked away with a steal. Most of us spend a decent amount of time working on these old boats-that buyer looks like he's going to be spending more time fishing with that boat. That and the 85 sceptre are two of the better deals I've seen on here in a while. Definitely a buyer's market right now.

Re: 1978 Potter built SeaCraft 20
Yea it’s definitely is a buyer market right now for houses, boats and cars. Winter is always the right time to buy a boat, but in my position I didn’t see a great deal of time to sell the boat this summer, so I figured a time close to tax return season was pretty good too.

Re: 1978 Potter built SeaCraft 20
i was going to give you the money (7600) until you said you wanted ebay auction to go on. I wasn't going to lose that boat on ebay so i was watching it all day. I was wiling to go up to 8500. Oh well, I'll find another boat from somebody that won't screw me. Thank you.

Re: 1978 Potter built SeaCraft 20
No I was the to bidder at his reserve of 7000. I put my max bid at 8001 and was watching to see if somebody outbid me. Then he must of put a buy it now for 7700 with about 6 hours left. because nobody was bidding against me. I buy off ebay all the time and I know that the last 2 hours is when the auction is going to go. I also talk to him any was going to give him a deposit for the boat but he said he wanted to do the ebay auction. Oh Well enogh bitchin' I find another boat

Re: 1978 Potter built SeaCraft 20
Once again I didn’t screw you! I am sorry for the miscommunication but I did offer the boat to you at a price of 7600, providing you did a deposit. When we talked it didn’t seem like you wanted to go that route, so it seemed to me like to me you wanted to wait it out, thinking you would get it cheaper. If you would have said yes to the 7600 the boat would have been yours, whose fault is that. Also listed in the criteria for the boat I put “I reserve the right to end the auction at any time” so I don’t feel bad about selling it. The only reason I did a “buy it now” was because it was too late in the auction to end it on my own. Also the party who bought the boat came and saw it, which made me more comfortable selling it to them too. I would hate for you or anyone else to buy something they didn’t approve of. I described the boat the best that I could but it was my opinion vs. who ever else’s, Once again I am sorry you feel cheated, but I believe to say that I screwed you is flat out unfair.

Re: 1978 Potter built SeaCraft 20
I am so glad your boat sold. I wanted it so bad but couldn't ignore my canes roots. I should have bought it and repainted it green and orange. Nice boat despite the paint job
