As always, Denny makes good points. Bushwacker`s boat wins the CG award at all the gatherings. No substitute for knowledge and experience.
I`ll add a few thoughts about this and my `89 cc. The weight and structure add to ride and feel. The 4 blade prop, dolefin, tabs, and Hermco bracket make it all work in harmony on Denny`s boat. I feel these boats like weight, but in the right places. That can be a fine dance. I`ve always used the forward fish box as dry storage, but I find myself questioning this. The CG on these hulls is designed to be midpoint of the fuel tank. My above deck livewell is under my leaning post {well behind the CG} and when full of prisoners, she really squats down nicely. What would happen if I could move more weight forward? Good things, me thinks, Keep thinking, GFS |
