Thanks,
Right now, if I can find the right deal, I am looking at a 250 4 stroke Suzuki. It's hard to walk away from a 6 year warrantee, and I have heard nothing bad about the motors from people who use them. Finding a decent dealer is a different story.

Where are you, John? I know a decent Suzuki dealer here in Citrus County, Florida.

Nat, what prop are you running and what are your fuel burn and performance numbers?
I am in Orlando, but I would be willing to go east/west for the right deal/dealer. Diamond Marine in New Symrna, and Boat Superstore in Inverness seem to be the movers and shakers in the Suzuki outboard sales. Both have leftover 2008's in the 13k range, and both come with 6 year warrantees.

I have a suzuki 16x20 stainless prop on mine. plenty of torque and at full throttle i top out at 5900-6100 rpms. I have wanted to try a 4 blade prop but i haven't foound anyone close by that will let me try one.

I dont have a fuel management system, but get roughly 2.5 mpg at a 28-29 kt cruise(4200 rpms) and top out at 42kts(6100 rpms).

Are you on a bracket, or hung off the transom?
