Great Job! Looks as good as any of the new flats boats.

Joey,
Great looking boat and nice job on the resto. Not knowing flats boats all that well, is a FiberCraft considered a classic like old SeaCrafts or Bertrams?

Thanks Scott and Fellowship!
Scott, back in the day here in the keys there were Willy Roberts skiffs ,which were plywood and glass(someone now has a mold and pops them out in glass), and considered "the skiff"just about every guide down here had one.I would love to find an old one to redo, but everyone that comes up is pretty expensive..Next was probably the FiberCraft. If you look in the first photo posted the helm was all the way forward and the two seats just aft of the helm were for the anglers.I choose to do the side console and make it a little more current in style.I've been told that there are a couple around, but really not many of them left. And there was a 15'boat called a Challenger,I know of about 5 of them. That would be another one I would like to ad to the fleet.

I thought about the teak pod and toe rail, but this skiff is for hauling clients and the thought of black soled shoes and coolers being dragged across all that teak work freaks me out. However,I have a 20 SeaCraft at Wildfire getting a deck and some other stuff done and when I get it here it gets a toe rail, helm pod and covering boards.

Joey,
Ditto the Awlgrip. Gelcoat would be like painting an immaculate '55 Chevy hot rod with factory paint.
Tight lines. Tarpun
